Is Stephen Colbert violating Federal campaign laws?

Stephen Colbert is trying to be placed on the ballots of his home state South Carolina, as an option for U.S. President in 2008. It seems like his show "The Colbert Report" on Comedy Central, could be viewed as corporate contribution in the form of air time and production costs—that's prohibited by the Federal Election Commissions Act.
