Magni's CD is finally here!

I have been a huge fan of Magni Ásgeirsson since he first appeared on "Rock Star: Supernova" on CBS last summer. The "Band" of Gilby Clarke, Tommy Lee and Jason Newsted made a HUGE mistake when they chose skunk boy aka Lukas Rossi to be the front man over more talented musicians of Magni, Dilana, Storm Large and Toby. Storm has her first EP out and is staring in Cabaret in Portland, Toby is mixing his band Juke Kartel's CD, Dilana is working on her CD and Magni's came out yesterday in the U.S.

While not well known in the United States yet, Magni is the number one musician in Iceland. All jokes aside, the guy deserves a huge audience. Amazing vocalist. Fantastic melody and hook writer and gifted guitar player. Go to I-Tunes and do a search of Magni to sample his work.

"Addicted" starts as a slow, acoustic jam and just builds the intensity.
"Come Play with Me' is a sweet song about his son.
He has a fantastic cover of "Dolphin's Cry" (cover of the song by the band +LIVE+) with great crowd participation and "Creep" by Radiohead. I hate Radiohead, but this cover is really amazing.

I am sad that he left off the song "When the Time Comes", even though that is a song with his band A Molti Sol. That song just rocks. You can go to his fansite

He is an amazing musician that deserves a larger fan base. If you like rock/pop with a singer whose voice is strong, flexible, mature and full with strong hooks...heck if you even just like discovering good music, check him out!
