Meerkats love Canon Cameras

There is a family of Meerkats at Longleat Safari Park in the UK, that have discovered a love of photography. It seems the zoo keeper left his camera and tripod inside the enclosure for about 5 minutes. When he came back, he saw the dominant male meerkat by the camera.

After he got his camera back, he was surprised to see that the meerkat had actually taken Meerkat family photos!

He forgot to leave headroom in the frame, but for not having opossable thumbs, that is not bad!

The focus is a bit soft here, but definite improvement has been made! It is believed the shutter button was pressed by adult alpha male Monty, who usually leads the mob of eight when exploring new objects.
