The funniest thing I read all day
Major props to my very good friend Macotar and his animated alter-ego Barry Westheim (pictured to the left). Mark is not only a fantastic vocal talent (acting for books on CDs, animated shorts, etc.) but a great writer as well. His latest post about Top 10 Wishes had me laughing out loud in parts. Give his blog a look, I promise it's worth it!
The character of Barry was created by a very talented local artist named Bill Galvan. Bill works for Archie comics as well as The Simpsons comics. Check out his website here.

I had a great, geek weekend
It was a great weekend to be a geek. My new t-shirts from split reason came in. They have some really cool stuff on their site. The shirts are high quality, but the one complaint I have, is that the Donkey Kong graphic is along the lower side of the shirt and not on the chest area. It's a minor quibble, but I wish they would have let me know somewhere on their website. It's still really cool though

I also received the Indiana Jones Monopoly game. Instead of houses and hotels, you use Idols and Arks. I love the packaging on this thing.
Usually, I hate these themed games, because you are basically buying the same game over and over, with different art on the board. BUT, this one is an exception. I hope the movie is good. There are a bunch of reviews out from the first screenings, and the reviews are at best ok, and some are pretty harsh. I have been keeping a low expectation level, so that hopefully, I will just enjoy the film for what it is.

What does your pig say about you?

You are positive and optimistic.
You are direct, enjoy playing devil's advocate and neither fear nor avoid discussions.
You are emotional, care little for details and are a risk-taker.
You are living through a period of major change.
You are a good listener

Stefen Colbear
Artist Todd Lockwood http://www.toddlockwood.comwas asked to do a Stephen Colbert drawing for a "World of Warcraft" card trading game. Unfortunately, Colbert's camp turned down the image, and the artist is not sure why. It is said that Colbert is a big gamer, and a fan of "World of Warcraft". It's too bad, because that artwork is fantastic. I am not a WoW player, but I would buy this card.

CD Cover Me

Here’s a fun way to kill a few minutes: the CD Cover Meme on Flickr. If you’ve always wanted to be in a rock band, here’s your chance to design your own CD over … sort of.
1. First, get the name of your band: this will be the first article title on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
2. Get the title of your album: the last four words of the very last quote:
http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
3. The third picture, no matter what it is, is your album cover:
http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/
Check out some other "CDs" that Lisa and I created below, and you can see covers that other people made at: http://flickr.com/groups/cdcovermeme/
